A Quick Test Run
No film experience needed! Our cameras are designed to be easy to use, so anyone can pick one up and start recording. An instructional PDF will be emailed to you with step-by-step directions to make the learning process as simple as possible.

Camera Pick Up
Once the celebrations wrap up, pack your cameras and a member from our team will come to pick up the equipment. We’ll schedule a timeslot in advance to make your post-wedding duties as easy as possible.

Where do you offer your services?
We’re currently serving couples across Hawaiʻi! Oʻahu couples can choose from available local pickup and drop-off options or shipping. For couples on neighboring islands, we offer shipping straight to your door.

How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as soon as you know your wedding date, especially during busy wedding seasons. Have a last-minute celebration coming up? Reach out to check availability, and we’ll do our best to help.
What comes with the camcorder?
Each camcorder comes ready to film, with a charged battery, empty memory card, spare batteries, charger, quick-start instructions, and a suggested shot list to help you think of moments you won’t want to miss.
When will I receive my cameras?
Your camera package will be dropped off approximately 48 hours before your wedding. This gives you time to unpack your equipment, test your camera, and get comfortable before the celebrations begin.
Do I need experience to use the camcorder?
Not at all! Our cameras are designed to be user-friendly, so your friends and family can capture the fun without any filming experience. We’ll provide instructions to help everyone get started.
What if something goes wrong with my camcorder?
We test and prepare every camcorder before delivery. We ask that you test your equipment as soon as you receive it and let us know within 24 hours if anything isn’t working properly.
If a camcorder malfunctions through no fault of your own, we’ll work with you on a replacement, credit, or refund depending on the circumstances and what’s possible before your event.
What happens if the camcorder is lost or damaged?
We know weddings can get a little crazy, but your equipment is your responsibility from delivery until we receive it back. Please keep it away from water, sand, saltwater, pools, rain, direct sunlight, and hot cars.
Lost, stolen, damaged, or unreturned equipment may be subject to replacement or other fees under our rental agreement.
When will I receive my wedding video?
Your finished wedding video will be delivered within 2–3 weeks of our receiving your returned equipment. We’ll take the time to bring your footage together into a keepsake you can revisit for years to come.
Can I get the raw footage, too?
Absolutely! If you want every candid moment, inside joke, and unexpected memory, raw footage is available as an add-on. Contact us for details.
What if my wedding is at a hotel?
No problem! We can coordinate delivery and pickup with your hotel or resort. If you won’t be available when we arrive, we can arrange for the equipment to be left with the appropriate hotel staff under your name.
What if I forget to return something?
No worries, just let us know as soon as possible. Please return all camcorders, batteries, chargers, memory cards, and accessories together in their designated case.
Can I create a custom package?
We offer custom options depending on availability, including additional cameras and editing services. Email info@hawaiiweddingstory.com and tell us what you have in mind.
Are my guests allowed to be filmed?
Your guests are part of what makes your wedding video special! As the client, you’re responsible for letting your guests know they may be filmed and for making sure you have any permissions required by your venue or event location.
What if my wedding is affected by bad weather or an unexpected event?
Hawaiʻi weather can be unpredictable, and we understand that plans sometimes have to change. If an event outside of our reasonable control affects your rental or delivery, we’ll work with you on the best available solution, such as a new delivery time, new date, or credit when applicable.
